I was born in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton. During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in Kentucky with my Grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.

At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, learn to farm! That was interesting. Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with twenty-eight cows purchased from the Humane Society because they had been abused, was interesting. I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of a breeding schedule, feeding schedule and the never ending haying in the summer and trying to stay warm in the winter. Our first winter in Wisconsin, we had thirty-six inches of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days! Needless to say, I wasn’t loving Wisconsin.

I am now married with four children and three grandchildren. I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow. Wisconsin and the United States are beautiful and my husband and I travel around by motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen along the way. At every gas station, restaurant and hotel, we have people come up to us and ask us about what we are doing and offering advice on which roads in the area are better than others and great rides others have been on if we are interested.

I come from a family of veterans. My grandfather, father, brother and two of my sons and one daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, I am proud. Proud to be an American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.

I'll start by saying I really loved the first in this series, where a couple with grown children finds love finally in each other. Each book had some awkward writing a bit, but I easily fell into the plot so that faded for me as a reader, not interfering with my enjoyment of the books.

This is the second book of the series and features one of the son's of the couple from the last book, Ryder. Ryder is the shy twin, and he struggles with it. He has a great family, great brothers, is attractive and not without girls because he is good looking enough that they approach him, lessening his need to make his move. He meets the heroine, Molly, when she does the photography for his dad's wedding. He is instantly attracted, and so is she, but he just is unable to force himself out of his shyness to ask her out. Of course, they finally do get together, but then have to deal with some secrets Molly has about her past.

What I liked about this is we have a shy hero, not a common thing in romances right now. He was sweet and hot though! It was wonderful seeing him come out of his shell for his heroine, showing her the true him he displayed only to those he trusted. Molly too became more confident in herself as she bonded with Ryder, though she was never a wimp at all.

What really lost the stars on this for me was that it fell into the heroine too stupid to live with regard to a threat she was facing. I really hate when a character behaves completely irrationally, and Molly did this in spades. She was being threatened, knew it was serious, and didn't go to the police, her hero, etc. Who does that? Nobody if they want to live. I just couldn't overcome that bias reading this to give it more stars. I'll continue to read this author though, and just write this one off as not for me.

Rydin' the Storm Out received another 5 star review! I found this review on Amazon and I couldn't wait to share it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed this story January 11, 2015

Rydin" the Storm Out is the second book in this series. I haven't read the first one, but this can be read as a stand alone novel.I really enjoyed this story! It was refreshing to have a male MC (Ryder), that was just a decent, kind and sensitive man!
The female MC (Molly) was a sweetheart too (although somewhat damaged by her past (which catches up to her).
I just love how shy Ryder was able to grow into himself. Family was such a huge part of his life, and he wasn't afraid to ask them for help when he needed it, or advice. And how Molly tried so hard to be the person she wanted to be.
There was a lot going on in this story, but it was put together in a way that you weren't overwhelmed and confused.
The struggles that Molly and Ryder go through left me on the edge of my seat at times! And the hot steamy bedroom/living room scenes... just WOW!I hope to see Danny and Tammy's story soon!I would recommend this book!
I was given this book as a gift from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Ryder Sheppard was a mature, sexy, handsome, motorcycle guy but was very SHY.....Molly Bates was a cute, young, hot photographer that found Ryder interesting. But when Molly takes pictures for Joci and Jeremiah Wedding, Ryder's Parents, Molly was hoping he would notice her. But when he never made contact after helping her with her equipment at the wedding she just figured he wasn't interested. Molly knew he was shy but thought there was a spark there....somewhere.

After a night at the Barn and seeing Ryder again Molly was hopeful....then she see Rachel and it went down hill from there....she dancing, drinking to forget him and more drinking ....but when a stranger get up close in personal with Molly, Ryder finally knows what he has to do.

After a friends and family weekend Ryder knows what he has to do but will he be able to go after what he wants ?? Can he talk to her or will he have to resort to writing in down in hopes to one day be able to show Molly what his true feeling for her are ??

Molly is also keeping a big secret from Ryder about her childhood, she thinks she is protecting him by not telling him about the secret But when it all comes to a head will he be able to loom past the fact that she was hiding something from him and not trusting him with her secret ??

This was a love story from the beginning to the end.....you see what people have to over come to be able to be together !!

Loved seeing all the family and when I mean family you will understand how wonderful this book is when you see who really is family NOW !!

Can't wait for more in this series !! Way to go P.J.

Call me a cougar, but, Ryder has just taken the place of his dad, Jeremiah, as my new book boyfriend. The story focuses on Ryder (Jeremiahs son) & Molly (Jocis friend who we first heard about at the Veterens Run). Shy Ryder, who could not talk to women & Molly, (who is afraid of being like her mother), meet at Jeremiah & Jocis wedding. Although sparks fly, they deny their feelings until they cant anymore & finally give into them The story takes a few twists that I was not expecting, & without giving any spoilers, Ill just say that sometimes you really dont know who you are, until you know your whole background & you need to trust those who love you, with everything. This is a true love story (with hot, scorching sex) that you will thoroughly enjoy & not want to put down. Cant wait for the next book to come out, for more about these 2 & the rest of the crew !! AWESOME book. Bravo PJ Fiala.

*ARC given in exchange of an honest review.*

This is the first book that I've had the pleasure of reading from this author and oh my God!!! What a surprise.
A lovely, sweet love story that will warm your heart this winter. Through a simple plot we get a heart-melting story that will make you smile.
Our main protagonists, Ryder and Molly, meet at a wedding where Molly is the photographer. Once they meet, sparks fly and they cannot stop thinking about each other. Ryder, our handsome biker, is extremely shy and he will shock you. Molly nearly drove me crazy with her reluctance to confide in Ryder as their relationship progressed but she has her reasons. Heartache and drama threatens to drown them as secrets resurface but our couple will fight for their love.
This book is about how love can blossom and how it can heal well covered wounds. I reccomend it to every romantic out there. Oh, there are hot bikers too!!!!
4 Stars from me.

Ryder & Molly

I really enjoyed this addition to the Rolling Thunder Series. Ryder and Molly are great together and have a wonderful start. The world building is awesome, but there were just a few things that brought my rating down all take place towards the end of the book and weren’t horrible enough for me to not read the next one, just irritating. Somewhat Spoilers below......

1. The heroine pulls a Too stupid to live moment, instead of seeking help because of embarrassment places herself in serious danger.
2. The hero finds out about the things that the heroine went through and then leaves her, because she didn’t trust him with her truth. It’s obvious that she didn’t handle things correctly, but to leave her for days? Nope, especially when we have no clue if the villain has been caught yet.
3. We never hear how or even if the villain gets caught and that Molly is actually safe.

Like I said irritating things but not enough for me not to continue especially since I loved the first book so much.

This is a neat book for the shy guy Ryder Sheppard gets the girl Molly Bates. I loved this story for it was written with a shy guy's perspective. Ryder does things differently so as we go thru this book we learn things from a different point of view. Keep a box of Kleenex handy as Ryder and Molly discover love. You will laugh and cry with them as they journey thru to love. Its an awesome book very hard to put down for you want to find out what will happen next. There is steam in this book. So not good for under 18. PJ Fiala can sure write a story and give you a new perspective. Its an awesome story their journey is worth a read and I loved the fact that Ryder was a shy one not an alpha male. Talk about a neat change. J

Moving To Hope by P.J. Fiala is a fantastic contemporary romance. Ms. Fiala has provided readers with a book that is well-written and loaded with an outstanding array of characters. Molly is a photographer and meets Ryder at his mom's wedding. Ryder is so shy he can't make himself ask Molly for a date. Molly and Ryder's story is packed with drama, humor, steamy sexy, action and suspense. I loved every page of this book and can't wait to read more from P.J. Fiala. Moving To Hope is book 2 of the Rolling Thunder Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Moving to Hope

Absolutely enjoyed this story, it flowed from beginning to end and I love the characters Fiala has created.RJ is the male lead, he is "Dog"s son. He is sexy with light brown hair, green eyes, tall, sexy forearms. Molly the photographer is the female lead. RJ and Molly's chemistry is off the charts, they are perfect for eachother.
The story flowed from beginning to end, there was not alot of filler in this story and I enjoyed that.
I felt there was a few unquestioned answers like what happened to Lancaster? The author does a good job getting to that point and having Molly get away....but was he caught?
I hope we get answers in the future books. Happy Reading!!

I purchased Moving to Hope: Rolling Thunder Series, Book 2: Ryder an Molly by PJ Fiala and this review was given freely.
This is an emotional attraction and captivation at first sight novel. You receive a great connection to the first book while the two new couples are introduced. Photographer Molly meets Jeremiah's son Ryder at Joci and Jeremiah's wedding resulting in a more outgoing Ryder. The story is suspenseful with multiple twists including a stalker, the return of a sexual predator, learning surprising connections between Molly and the Sheppards, and the steamy sometimes errotic rocky romance of Ryder and Molly.

This endearing story drew me in with Ryder and Molly. He is a shy biker/mechanic, and she is a photographer. When he spots Molly, he is immediately drawn to her but because of his demeanor it was hard for him to approach her. I was moved by their relationship and how they gravitated towards each other. Molly has a troubled past and has learned the hard way to take care of herself and as a result slow to accept people in her life but as she and Ryder's relationship strengthens her past comes back with a vengeance. Will Ryder be able to keep her safe.
I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

Moving to Hope by PJ Fiala, is the second book in the Rolling Thunder Series. This is my second read of the book. It was nice seeing the hero as the shy one. However, his shyness sometimes gets in the way. I liked him as a character. For the most part, I liked Molly, but there were moments I questioned her motives and responses to situations. I felt the story flowed well. Overall, a really good installment to the series.

Shy boy Ryder never thought he would find love until the day he met Molly Bates at his dad's wedding. Molly never felt she deserved love herself after what happened to her when she was young. Both felt an instant attraction but did not know what to do about that attraction. Can both of them overcome their insecurities and obstacles in their lives to make a go of a relationship?

Secrets...

Ryder met Molly at his dad's wedding. She was a photographer and friends with Joci. Once he saw her , he couldn't keep his eyes off her. Ryder is extremely shy and didn't know how to ask her out. The relationship that follows is a whirlwind. Will Molly ever share her secrets?

The second book of Rolling Thunder is just as good as the first!

Good sweet read

This is a good book and I'm new to this author. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the self doubting and the manipulation of the character Molly.
I also wish it had more about Joci and the baby or babies she's carrying.
Ryder is a sweet shy and devoted young man who loves Molly.
This a good book.

I really found this to be a sweet romance. I really liked that Ryder was shy, certainly not something we see a lot of. Molly is a great character but she does do something that made me want to slap her. Overall an enjoyable read.

Good read

Ryder is quiet and shy. He gets ribbed by his family about it all the time but they are loving and very supportive. When he sees Molly the photographer he is almost brought to his knees but his shyness almost let's her slip through his fingers.

Riveting read

with an original and yet difficult storyline, that shows just how much people can suffer, endure and survive.
I can’t find the words now, maybe later, but this touches upon very many peoples experiences and I think it was beautifully and expertly done. Thank you x

Great story but loose ends hanging

So what happened to Jepson? B & E, cameras plus the other stuff he did? They just let him go? What happened to Lancaster? Did the police find him, arrest him what?
