Big A$$ Beans
Gene has been making these beans for years now. We call them Big Ass Beans, because its a big ass crock pot full of beans, that I could (and do) eat as a meal.
Originally he got the recipe from a friend, Judy Burley, and we fell in love with it, so it’s become a family favorite. When going to a family get together, he is usually asked to bring these, this week was no exception. My granddaughter celebrated her tenth birthday and she asked for Grandpa’s Big Butt Beans.
Big A$$ Beans
1 lb. ground beef 3 cans (28 oz.) baked beans (we use Bushes) 1 c. ketchup ¼ c. brown sugar 3 T. vinegar 1 t. sea salt 1 onion Brown ground beef. Brown bacon. Add all ingredients to crock pot, cover and cook for about 4 hours. Prep time – 30 mins. Cook time: - 4 hours Servings: - 20 people
