Love can find you, even when you’re not looking.
With this the week of Valentine’s and all things love, my book of the week is Moving to Desire. Gunnar knows he’s tired of meaningless sex, like anything, even that can get old. A chance meeting introduces him to Emma, who just moved back home after a bad break-up. But, Gunnar has a lot going on – his parents are having a baby, his biological father dies and a box of pictures holds danger and clues to things that should have been left in the past.
I have a couple of friends who have shared with me that they’d decided love wasn’t for them. Failed relationships or lack of any real relationships in their past made them believe that love wasn’t in their future. As so often happens, as soon as they stepped away from the search, love found them. That doesn’t mean life is all hunky-dory from that point forward, it means you have to learn to navigate the murky waters of life with someone at your side. Not always as easy as it seems.
If you haven’t read Moving to Desire, I hope you’ll give it a read. After all, it’s cold outside, and this book could heat you right up!!!!
