A female operative with a point to prove.
A seasoned cop with a case to solve.
And the passion that ignites.

RAPTOR operative Charlesia Sampson is no damsel in distress. Surviving an explosion in the Army gave her more grit than glory, and now she’ll destroy anyone who tries to hold her back. Dangerous missions are her forte. But when she’s found at a murder scene, everything changes.

Finding Charly at the murder scene was difficult for Sam Bowers. But when the truth comes to light, Sam sees Charly differently. Together, they’re determined to uncover the murderer and find a missing child–all while denying their need for one another.

One thing is certain: the sexy detective is CRAVING CHARLESIA.

Child trafficking is a difficult subject to read about, but PJ Fiala gives us a heart felt, suspenseful story about the people dedicated to finding these children and bringing the traffickers to justice. I appreciated how she wrote the story of Olive and what the child went through and also how the system came to fail her and other children. I applaud how she was able to weave a love story between Charly and Sam while showing their dedication to their work. A wonderful read that keeps you turning the page. Make sure you download the link with the bonus epilogue.

Charlesia Sampson “Charly” is a Raptor operative and a disabled vet but doesn’t let that hold her back. She is working a case that involves a missing child which turns into child trafficking. When she shows up at the house of a suspected child trafficker she finds a dead man and a child holding the gun. This is the same child she had saved before and was placed back with her mom only to be sold to child traffickers. Det. Sam Bowers arrives on scene and was afraid that Charly shot the man. Sam and Charly work together to bring down the traffickers and to find Olive’s sister.
Sam and Charly have great chemistry together and work on building a relationship.
Knowing that Sam has to work within the boundaries of the law while Charly doesn’t, will that create problems for them? Will they be able to find the missing sister before she is sold? How will their relationship turn out?

This story is emotional and covers an issue of missing children and trafficking.
Another great story and handling of a tough issue by Ms. Fiala.
