Time marches on so quickly it spins my head around. And, hard to believe, but we are busier today than we were when we had little kids, we both worked full-time and I was in college.
For those of you who follow me, you’ll already know we moved to The Villages for our winter months. The moving was busy enough, but the other stuff – holy man! We’ve been exploring all there is to do here and meeting our neighbors. Buying and selling stuff to make this house, “our” house. We go to bed tired every night. And during all of this, I managed to write Sizzling Nights.
Today I am sending Sizzling Nights out to the universe at large and to readers’ hands. I’m confident in my writing and this is a good book. That doesn’t mean there isn’t angst, there is. Plenty of it. There always is when a new book is released and I’ve celebrated each release a bit different. This year, I’m going to spend time with Gene and friends and enjoy the fact that another book is out there for readers to consume, and feel all the gratitude for being able to do what I love to do – write.
As with any business, people come and go in our lives. Some go with happiness and a sense of relief, some with sadness and the hope we’ll see each other again. I feel so good about the team I have in place right now, and that helps with the sense of gratitude and ease I feel right now.
