Description

A RAPTOR operative who wants revenge.
A doctor who has vowed to first do no harm.
The ultimate clash of what they both believe in.

Emersyn Copeland has been on the hunt for the man who betrayed all she had trained to do. So close to capturing him, she’ll stop at nothing, even when her ability to walk is at stake. When her body gives out, she is compelled to turn to the one man who brings her a glimmer of hope in terms of walking without pain again.

Chase Nicholas was trained as a doctor in the Army. He was selected to become part of a special medical unit established to develop drugs and prosthetics to enhance wounded soldiers’ abilities and create a stronger more powerful Army. It is a matter of pride for him. What he didn’t know is that he wasn’t the finish line for these drugs, there was an underground team taking his work and producing something more powerful – more lethal. Accidentally using it on Emmy changes both of their worlds forever.

Will Chase regret engaging Emersyn in his medical science project and will she be able to forgive him?

Oh WoW what a great read!!! This is the one that I have been waiting on, Emersyn’s story. after having started RAPTOR she had one goal and that was to after the worst of the worst. She had been injured while overseas and was looking at life eventually in a wheelchair. But Chase, someone she had meet a few years back who had really hurt her may be able to heal her. and that is all I am going to say cause you really need to read this book to get all the feels. I highly recommend P. J. Fiala in all her her books you will not be disappointed.

What an action packed 2nd chance romance Emersyn and Chase take us on and I love 2nd chances. When Emersyn is hurt during another RAPTOR mission she reconnects with Chase, the Dr on call. Will Emersyn be able to complete the mission and forgive Chase enough to let him help her and grab that once in a lifetime love or will they lose it all? Grab this heartwarming reconnection and enjoy!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you’ve been following these characters from the beginning like I have, you have been WAITING for Emmy’s story… and it did NOT disappoint. I had the joys of reading as an ARC reader and I cannot begin to express how amazing this was as a finale to the RAPTOR team. I fell in love with these characters when GHOST was formed and loved them even more here. Seeing the story line wrap up was amazing and I can’t wait to see what happens in the future!

Engaging Emersyn is a fantastic, exciting conclusion to the RAPTOR series. I would be sad that this series is ending, but a new series is spinning off for the second generation. So we will keep seeing these characters and feel like we are part of the family. PJ Fiala always writes terrific stories with awesome characters! She captures their minds and hearts and incorporates them into a thrilling and emotional tale. I couldn’t put this book down. Emersyn and Chase were perfect for each other. Chase is a handsome doctor that might be able to help Emersyn with her injury, but he hurt her before. Can they work out their relationship while the team is trying to wrap up its long investigation into trafficking women? Dig in and find out. You will be glad that you did!

Wonderful conclusion to the series. This is a second chance romance. Emersyn and Chase had a brief affair in their military days. An accident while out on a mission Emersyn ends up in the hospital and Chase happens to be her doctor. This was a beautiful, action pact, slow burn, A bit emotional story. I have read from the beginning so going on this journey and the ending I did get a bit teary eyed. Looking forward to the next generation.

The ending to the series is bittersweet and hoping for some more stories that involve the Raptor team and maybe new additions?!?!
Emersyn, the brain child behind RAPTOR, finally gets her story and it comes in a second chance with a man, Chase, who broke her heart many years before and knew her before her injury. During a mission Emersyn injures herself and Chase happens to be the on call doctor and the doctor Kori has been trying to get Emersyn to see about her hip. Chase wants to help but Emersyn wants nothing to do with him….she needs to finish her mission and bring it to an end….but at what cost as her ability to walk and be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life is on the line. Chase regrets everything that happened between them when they ended, but has never stopped loving her, now it is his second chance to get it right….if only she will listen to him and let him help her as he is the only one standing in the way between her and a wheelchair.
A great read with some suspense, some steam, and second chances. I wasn’t too keen on Chase and what happened in the past…mainly the reason for the break up…but he made up for it and does all he can for Em. I liked the no over the top drama and how Em was able to think straight and not endanger her team when it mattered. I loved seeing the past characters and all the great news that was happening at the compound….new series maybe….hoping for one with all the mystery behind the Superman project.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*

If you have been following the RAPTOR series you know that Emersyn is the creator of the RAPTOR team. Injured in Afghanistan, her injury has gotten debilitating. The Dr assigned to her case is an ex lover that she never got over. This second chance love story is mixed with PJ’s story of human trafficking and Emersyn’s determination to finish the job she started. PJ gives us an exciting powerful end to an intriguing series that will satisfy her readers.
