Here’s a word from Maryann.
“As an Amazon Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I “cut my romance teeth” on the historical romance books from the 1970’s. In 2013 I started a blog to showcase wonderful writers. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma’s Home was created.
My first novel, Emma’s Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love’s Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series, all bestsellers.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 34 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!
I love to hear from readers, so please email me!”

Jack Bryant left the Special Forces to begin his private investigation business. Pulling together like-minded men from the CIA, FBI, ATF, DEA, Border Patrol, SEALs, and police, they were devoted to the missions that no one else wanted or could solve.
When the Campus Killer strikes again, Jack’s team is tasked by the Governor to find the killer, using whatever means they can.
While following the trail of the serial killer, he becomes entangled in the life of the beautiful woman living next to his property.
Bethany Bridwell moved in with her grandmother to take over running Mountville Cabin Rentals. She had no time for the handsome, mysterious man living next door who continued to intrude into her life…and her thoughts.
Jack battled his growing feelings for Bethany, worried his life would not allow for the white-picket-fence world she deserved. But he was unable to stay away.
When the trail of the Campus Killer strikes close to home, can Jack protect Bethany long enough to give her what she needs?
***Due to scenes of an explicit sexual nature and language that some consider crude, please be warned – for 18+ only! If you do not like alphas with heart who fall instantly in love with strong female characters while dealing with real life issues…again be warned!!***
*****No purchase necessary, void where prohibited. Winner drawn by Rafflecopter.*****

It is, isn’t it Terri? Must have books to read!!!!!
Oh, Terri – I hope you’ll give my books a chance!
Way to go Patti I’m so happy to see you finding happiness in your writing. A star in the making. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Sandy, it’s great to hear positive thoughts coming my way!
I usually read about 8 to 10 books a month. Would love to add one of yours to my collection.
Thank you Brandy. Good luck with the drawing.
I hope you’ll give my books a try also! Sweet alphas and smart women! Throw in a dash of mystery and you have bestsellers!
In a month…hmm on average 25
Wow, Kim, you’re a super reader.
If you like sweet alphas and strong women, give my books a try!
12 or more, depending on the length of the books
What a fabulous way to spend time. Thank you Lynn.
Lynn, I know you read my stories! Thank you!
Sounds like a great read! My average is probably 12-15 per month unless I have time off then it skyrockets!
Wow. Fabulous.
I hope you will give my books a try! If you love Romantic Suspense, hot but sweet alphas, strong and loving women, throw in mystery…You’ve got my stories!
Another question, where do you each buy your books? Do you prefer Amazon, B&N, Kobo???? And, do you read paperbacks, electronically or both?
Both
I prefer “old school” book in hand.
There you go! Wonderful. Do you fold the corners over to save your page or do you keep it looking new?
When I was younger, I always “dog eared”. But, with age, I have collected some lovely book marks and now use them. Plus, for each bookmark, the memory of the lovely person who gave it to me comes to mind or a remembrance of the place where I bought it. 🙂
Absolutely. That’s a fabulous sentiment.
Love this site. Especially love the spotlight author Maryann Jordan!
Thank you so much. Maryann is amazing, isn’t she?
Absolutely positively yes!
Danielle, you know I love you!
I read about 10 books a week.
Holy Cow!!!!!!! That’s a lot.
Approximately 20-30 books each month. I order through Amazon and though most of my books are ebooks, I prefer to read paperbacks. I try to order those directly from the author when possible but if not, then Amazon or Walmart is where I purchase them.
That’s a lot of books Dawn, you must be a fast reader. Thank you for the information, us authors are always wondering where the best marketplace is for books.
Well, since I’ve been disabled I’m unable to do much else. So I do the one of things I love most, read!😊 Your welcome and I hope the information helped!
I hope you will give my books a try, Dawn! I do have them all in paperback also.
Hi Maryann! I already had a couple of your books on my tbr and have added all of them now, I think! Lol!! I can’t wait to read them all!! Thank you for sharing your stories with us!
Wow, you’re a super reader.
Maybe around 20 books. It depends on the length of the books!
Wow, that’s fabulous Linda. You must be a fast reader.
Hi Linda! I can’t believe how many books you read!
@ 10 or so.
That’s about how many I’m able to do as well Tammy. Wish I could do more.
It was 2-3 books a week. But, I help to take care of my grandmother (I perform about 80% of her daily care.) who has Parkinson’s and mobility issues and her need for assistance has grown exponentially over the last year. So, I don’t get to read nearly as much. But, I am making some wonderful memories with her, which I wouldn’t trade for ANYTHING!
I understand! My parents need assistance and I wouldn’t trade these times with them either.
🙂
Aww. Bless you for being there for her.
SHE is the blessing!
I hope you will give my books a try Tammy!
I WOULD LOVE TO! AND WHEN I GET MY BLOG UP AND GOING IN A FEW WEEKS, I’D LOVE TO HAVE YOU AS A FEATURED AUTHOR. 🙂
I would love that. Please let me know when you’re ready.
Thank you for sharing! Sounds like a great book.
Question for Maryann: Are you going to do an author signing in Fredericksburg this year? I wasn’t able to get to the one last year.
Thank you from Orange VA
I read around 5 or more books a month. I get to spend lots of time with my 4-year-old granddaughter so I don’t spend a lot of time reading.
That’s fabulous Anita. I love spending time with my grandchildren. They grow too fast as it is, so every minute is precious.
They haven’t had a signing in Fredericksburg, but I am working with our local library. Please let me know if you would like a signed book! You can email me at authormaryannjordan@gmail.com
I read between 8-10 books a month.
That’s wonderful, what a great way to spend time.
Lets see.. I read about 15 books in a month when I’m on a roll:)
Fabulous. That’s a lot of reading. Nice going.
