Macaroni and cheese is something many of us grew up with. When my kids were still at home we would buy ten or more boxes each week because they would eat it like it was going out of style. Once they were in high school and in different sports or working, we were all on different schedules and it was impossible to plan a meal, but the kids would make a box of macaroni and cheese and be on their way.
Now, the kids are grown and it’s just Gene and I, but we have the family over every Sunday. On your birthday or birthday weekend, you get to pick what you want. This weekend is my daughter-in-law Shaina’s birthday and she wanted backed macaroni and cheese. I have just the recipe for her and it was delicious. Give it a try and let me know what you think of it.
I have my homemade recipe that I made about 10 years ago because it is my husbands favorite food. My has way more ingredients and is a family fav and requested at all family functions. Hubby likes it with ham though. Can not go wrong with some Mac n cheese.
