What is Love to You?

This week we’re talking about Love, after all, it’s the week of Love. So, we decided to answer the question, “What does Love mean to you?”

Gene and I have been married for 31.5 years.  It’s mostly been great, this marriage thing, but like everyone, we’ve had our ups and downs.  We’ve raised children, gone through jobs, had years of financial draught, we’ve sent children off to war and were lucky enough to welcome them home again.  Health issues, fake friends, friends who’ve divorced and moved on.

What does love mean to me?  It means you stay together in good times and in bad.  It’s easy to walk away, it’s much harder to stay and work through issues.  We’ve done better at that at some times more than others.  Now that we’re in our fifties and sixty is creeping up on us, I feel more confident that ever that we’ll be able to make it through till ‘death do us part’.
