What’s going on with your books?

I’ve had a few emails from readers this week asking me why they can’t find my books.  First of all, Thank You for asking.  I can’t tell you how happy it makes me that you are looking for them.  So, Yippee!

Let me explain, my former publisher, Booktrope, went out of business on May 31, 2016.  Myself and the other authors with Booktrope were only given 30 days’ notice.  This left many of us scrambling to decide what to do with our books.  I decided to completely rebrand my Rolling Thunder series with whole new covers and rewrites or re-edits on many of the books.  Frankly, I looked at this as a fabulous opportunity for me.

The downside of the rebranding is that it takes just a bit longer to pull everything together.  My cover designer was already busy and then to add me to her line up with four books in short order was a big task, but I’m happy to say, she did it and did it splendidly.  And, wait till you see what the new covers look like.  All I can say is OMG!!!!!!  They are gorgeous.  Simply a work of art.

As to when my series will be ready…soon.  And by soon, I mean just a couple of weeks.  My editor, the fabulous Mitzi Carroll, is working over-time to get them in tip top shape for republishing and then Marisa Nichols will go over them with a fine tooth comb to make sure we caught any little issues.  So, please bare with us as I want to put the best possible books I can out to you and will do so before the end of June, I promise.

As to the rebranding, I also decided to retitle my books as well.  So, drum roll please….

Dog Days of Summer, the story of Dog and Joci, is now titled “Moving to Love”

Rydin’ the Storm Out, the story of Ryder and Molly, is now titled “Moving to Hope”

Danny’s War, the story of Danny and Tammy, is now titled “Moving to Forever”

Gunnin’ for You, the story of Gunnar and Emma, is now titled “Moving to Desire”

And very soon, the newest book in the Rolling Thunder series, for those of you keeping tabs on your book boyfriends, is JT’s book and the story of JT and Kayden, is titled “Moving to You”

Stay tuned, as next week, I’ll show you the covers!!!!! Thank you for reading.

  1. Very exciting Patti! Sometimes change is a blessing in disguise. Can’t wait to see the new books!

  2. You mentioned “re-writes.” If we already own the books on KIndle and/or paperback, will any of the content be different enough to warrant re-purchase and re-read? As excited as I am for the new covers and titles, that would be disappointing

    • Only Dog Days of Summer is getting major rewrites and Amazon should push those new changes through to anyone who has the book previously. Many of my fellow Booktrope authors are working with Amazon regarding these changes.

      • Thank you for the response. That’s great to hear. I have my Kindle set to automatically update books, so hopefully Amazon is on the ball. I’m looking forward to seeing the new look.

        • I’m hopeful too! I’ve done everything Booktrope said would make it a smooth transition, so, my fingers are crossed. I’m hopeful!!!!!!! Will be revealing the new covers soon!
