I love thinking about vacation. It makes the days pass and the excitement of thinking about how relaxing and fun it will be is probably more fun than the vacation. Well, almost.
Our vacations are set for this year, we plan them over the winter. Next year, we don’t have any plans other than a couple author/reader events (watch my calendar). But, for our vacation, just The Biker and I, we’ve bandied about a few places.
The Biker wants to ride to Montana and ride through Glacier National Park. That will be a huge ride for us from Wisconsin, so in order to do it all, we’ll probably have to take two weeks. It’s pretty exciting to think about that. That’s not a for sure thing, but I’m betting we’ll be headed there in the next year or so.
I’d also like to ride to Florida for Bike Week one time. I’m sure once I get there I’ll be irritated with all the traffic and crappy drivers, but it would be fun just once to say we’d been. And, supposedly, Florida is better weather in February than Wisconsin is, so if nothing else, we should get in some sun.
What about you? Where do you want to go on your next vacation? Share with us, you may give someone else a great idea. Then, let’s go get some ideas from my fellow bloggers.
Sounds like fun!
Any vacation is fun!!!
Have you ever tried the Iron Buns challenge? My pastor and one of his sons did it a few years ago. Not being a motorcycle person, it sounds like torture to me, but they relate it as one of the best trips of their lives. When they were telling us about it, I was thinking of how you’d probably write a story around it.
I haven’t done it yet, but I will certainly try it one day. It’s another thing on my bucket list. A true challenge!
