I am so excited to introduce you to the fabulous Julie Farley. I know Julie only from a Facebook group we are both in, but I have had the pleasure of reading her books and I thought they were fabulous. Please join me in welcoming Julie Farley to Romance on Wheels.
I am in love with Adam Levine. I am so in love with him that my twelvee-year-old has changed the wallpaper on my phone to his picture. My sixteen-year-old promptly changed my screen saver to say, “You should love Dad more.”
I am so absurd that my friends – Facebook and real life – and my students’ parents alert me to all of his appearances on TV. They send me pictures of his tattooed abdomen. Every time The Voice is on friends text me. It seems no one likes his pink hair and they come to me to understand why he did it…and I have no idea! It’s become a joke and I guess I have too.
But I am so in love with Adam Levine that I have written a romance novel and he is the hero…the sexy knight on a white horse. I am so enamored with sitting and pretending a newly widowed mom of three living in suburbia has fallen in love with an older Adam like character that I wrote a sequel to the first book.
I let my husband read them and he said it’s like I’ve killed him in order to date Adam but he’s so wrong.
This girl in the book, my book has three kids. I have four. And the guy, the guy who’s car she falls in front of while out for a run with her dog and holding a bag of dog poop, this guy is a decade older than Adam Levine. And he’s not in a band…
So, I tell him it’s so not me in this book and he, this guy who I’m married to, says he doesn’t care because he sees that writing this book is making me happy and how can I possibly be in love with Adam when the guy who greets me each morning encourages me to follow my dreams.
Julie Farley is a contemporary romance author, teacher, mother, and self-proclaimed chai addict. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a graduate degree in Elementary Education from DePaul University. When she’s not busy writing, you can find Julie chauffeuring her four children around Bainbridge Island, WA.

About Tripped Up Love:
When Heather Meadows loses the only man she’s ever loved, her perfect, ordinary life is turned upside down. The happily ever after her late husband promised disappears in the blink of an eye. As she picks up the pieces of her shattered world and puts on a brave face for her three children, her life becomes the subject of scrutiny and pity from her well-intentioned friends and neighbors who do more harm than good. Life in suburbia is not for the faint of heart.
Little does she know that her world is about to be turned upside down again when one wrong step puts her in the path of a new destiny. Heather finds a reason to smile again, but she wonders how she’ll handle the prying eyes and unspoken judgments of those closest to her.
Tripped Up Love is a story of family, hope, new beginnings, and moving forward one step at a time.]]>

Thank you for sharing! She loves chai. Me too 😉
You are so welcome Lori. Chai is one of my favorites too!!!!! I like spiced Chai – how about you?
Spiced Chai is really good 🙂
I have to agree. I’ve never tried the Vanilla chai – hate to mess with a good thing. 😉
Actually Vanilla Chai is good also. The Vanilla gives it a creamier taste and calms the spices down some.
Hmmm. I may have to expand my horizons.
What an interesting story! I can’t wait to read the book.
Her favorite is chai.
Must say that reading about her obsession with Adam Levine and her family’s reaction was funny.
