Needing Shianne is my 40th book. I’m as shocked and excited as I’ve ever been that I have written 40 fun stories. I love each and every one of them, but for different reasons. It’s like your children, they’re all different, and you love different things about each of them, and you couldn’t pick a favorite. I always say my favorite book is the one I’m writing now. That’s not a lie.
Needing Shianne is Myles Sager and Shianne Brown’s story. A fun fact, Sager is my mother-in-law’s maiden name. I picked it in honor of her. Brown, is my aunt and cousins’ last name and I picked that in honor of them. (Doris and Sonya, I bet you didn’t know that!)
It’s always fun when I release a new book into the world. It’s also a tad over-whelming. So many people came together to bring this book to you I may have written it, but my editor, Judy, polished it up. I have beta readers, Kim and Sheila, who buffed it out. And arc readers who put the finishing touches on it.

But, to be honest, none of this would be possible without my family. They support my writing career in so many ways. They likely don’t even realize how much I appreciate them. Cheering me on, congratulating me. Keeping my feet on the ground when I bury myself into my stories and don’t want to come out. But, mostly, their love. Without love, we don’t have much in life to live for. Afterall, it’s what I write about. Love! I love you all so very much and thank you for being in my life.
