It’s that time again, time for the September giveaway. So, here’s what I have for one lucky winner.
Back in April, I attended the Barbara Vey Reader Appreciation Luncheon as an author. Part of the cool things we get at the #BVW is this fabulous bag of books and goodies.
I saved mine for a giveaway and that time is now. This is an amazing bag of books and swag and fun things. So, enter away, all you have to do is tell me if you like going to book signings and if so, how many have you gone to?
Oh, also, I’ll be back at the #BVW17 and while my luncheon table is full, there are still a couple of spots left at my breakfast table. So, if you’re interested in joining me for breakfast, meeting some awesome authors ) psst. Kristan Higgins is the keynote speaker this year), and enjoying great food and book buddies to talk books with, this is the place for you. Simply go to the website and get your ticket right away.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
I just attended my first one and I can’t wait to go to more it was awesome!
That’s fantastic. Where did you go?
I went to Once Upon a book signing in Michigan. I was lucky enough to win tickets to it!
I have never been to a book signing. Thanks for asking.
You’re welcome. Thank you for commenting.
My bucket list includes going to a book signing (right after win the lottery) I would love to go to one, but so far it hasn’t happened. Know any authors that want to go to Atlantic Canada?
Aww, that sounds like a great place to have a signing.
I have been to book signings, but can’t say how many. I see Heather Graham in there and I did get to meet her and get my pic taken with her in Vegas. So happy about that. I also see Alex Kava in there. I did meet her here in one of her fave places, Pensacola, Florida and have some signed books by her. Great giveaway!!! Have a super weekend.
sherry @ fundinmental
That’s awesome. I met Heather Graham last year. She’s lovely.
I have never gone to any signings. It would great to attend one.
They are fun.
I’ve never been to a book signing, but it sounds like fun!
Yes, they are fun.
I don’t attend because they are always so far away. Maybe someday I can.
Yes, there are so many to choose from these days.
I do attend book signings. I have been to more than I can count. I love to hear authors talk about their books. There are several favorite authors whose signings I have attended every time they come to town.
That’s great Jackie.
I’ve attended 3 now. Twice in West Virginia and one in Chicago
Wow, that’s great.
I have never been to a book signing
You’re not alone, but they are fun.
I live in a rural community. There are no book signings close by. I haven’t attended one. Would love to if they were closer.
You just never know when one will come your way.
I haven’t been to a signing yet, but there’s one coming near me in April I plan on going to.
That’s wonderful have a great time.
I have attended book signings. I have been to 5. All in Massachusetts
Thank you for this great giveaway
5 is great, good for you.
I have been to over 20 book signings. I loved to attend them and meet authors and new friends. I have a FB Group that I share book signings and information for readers. Some that I gave been too have been Barbara Vey Reader Luncheon, RWA, A few in NYC, Boston, NJ.
Wow, you’re a veteran! Which Barbara Vey did you go to?
Yes I went this year and last year. Will be missing out next year. Want to see if I could make it to RT in Atlanta.
I’ve never been to RT, hope to make it one year.
I hear it’s very fun. Hope I can go.
I haven’t because they are too far away from where I live and I work full time.
Aww, sorry they are so far from you.
I’ve been to a couple local ones. Not many come to our town.
Glad you’ve had a couple of them close to you.
I am going to go to my first book signing in October. Let you know how like it
You’re going to love it.
I sure hope so, I do not usually do to well with large crowds.
I haven’t been able to go to any but I hope to one day soon
You’ll have so much fun if you go.
I have never gone to a book signing before, but it sounds like a lot of fun!
I hope you get to one, they’re so much fun.
I have gone to a few book signings. I love them. I wish I could go to more!
I agree that they’re fun.
I’ve never been to one but want to some day
I sure hope you get to one, they’re so much fun.
I hope you get to go Juli. They’re fun.
I’ve been to one- J.A. Jance at a Girl Scout function.
Fun, I’ll bet the girls were excited.
Like a few others that have commented, I too haven’t been to a book signing. I so would if any of the tons of authors I’m a fan of were to come to where I’m from — the beautiful island of Guam! Maybe one day, if — no, when — I make it out to wherever an author I’m a fan of is having a signing…or is attending any book or writing event that’s open to everyone.
Oh wow, Guam. That is a beautiful island, though I’ve only seen pictures. You’ll get to one if you really want to go.
is it easy to write online novels? how much does an isbn to publish online cost?
To write them well, I wouldn’t say easy. It takes about $1,000 – $1,500 to bring a quality book to market. Covers cost, editing, proof reading, ISBN and that’s before marketing.
I haven’t ever been to a signing but am very interested to go. There is one in Niagara Falls I am considering for next May I believe!
Oh, you’ll enjoy it, they are energizing.
I’ve only been to 2 book signings and enjoyed both. One was James Patterson (my sister won a T-Shirt from him) and we received an autograph and got to have our picture taken with him. The other was David Lister and he is a local author and it was a nice get together in our local library. Pictures, autograph etc.
Yay, that is great. Good for you.
I have never gone to a book signing, but I would.
I hope you get to one one day Kara.
Would love to go to a signing
I have never made it to a book signing, but there have been some close to my home. However, not always convenient times.
Yeah, it’s hard to meet everyone’s schedule but I sure hope you are able to get to one.
I have not attended any book signings, because I take care of my aunt who is disabled. It’s hard to find someone to take over for a day or two. But I am going to try to go to a couple next year, if everything works out. They will have to be close to where I live though. Thanks
Good luck Misty, I hope that works out for you.
I haven’t ever attended a book signing but I would love too. Would love getting to meet the author who writes books that I love bc normally I immerse myself in that world
Yep, that would be fun Krystal. I hope you get to go to one.
I have not but wish I did .but don’t even have a car to get anywhere.
Stacey, hopefully something will happen and you’ll be able to get to one.
Never have but would love to.
Yeah, they’re fun.
I haven’t had the pleasure, but always wanted to go.
Hope you get to go to one Margay.
Thanks!
Never been to a signing but I sure wish I can some day!
I hope you can too.
I have never been able to attend an event. Wish I could afford to go to one.
You just never know when something will happen to allow that for you.
I haven’t had the chance to attend book signings but I really want to if I have the chance
I hope you get the chance. They are very energizing.
I attended Authors After Dark 2016. It was my first but hopefully not my last author signing event.
How fun. Did you meet a lot of authors?
Yes. I had so much fun.
I’ve never been to one and with my anxiety in groups I probably never will, but that’s life.
Sorry to hear it Jolene.
Yep, but like I said that’s life. You got to roll with the punches and hope you come out the other end in a good way.
I’ve never been to one.
Thanks Peggy.
I have been to one. Houston Authors Bash earlier this year. It was fantabulous! I’m going to PennedCon in St Louis later this month and the one in Lebanon, TN in October. I am sooooooooo excited !
Oh, wow, that’s awesome. Good for you and have fun.
Thanks .
I haven’t had a chance but I would love to.
I hope you get to one soon.
I have been to four signings so far. I will be my fifth in Portland next weekend.
Oh, gosh, have a lot of fun.
I have never been to a book signing. But I would love to some day. I love having authors sign my books, it makes me feel extra special. Lol.
We love signing for readers too. I hope you get to a signing sometime, they are certainly fun.
I’ve never been to a signing. Would love to. I think it would be great fun.
That it is, I hope you get to one.
Love to go to them. I’ve been to dragoncon three times, Lori foster get together 3 times, romantic times book signing once. And numerous author signing
Wow, you do get to a lot of them. Good for you.
Unfortunately, I have never been to a book signing! I would love to one day. I think I would have a blast!
I think you would too Barbara.
I have never had the opportunity but would like to attend one!
You jus never know when the opportunity will come along.
I’ve gone to a signing and it was so exciting.
Glad you found it exciting. Which one did you go to?
I love going and meeting the authors if books I love. I have gone to 2 author book signing, George R.R. Martin and Diana Gabaldon. Both I had to drive for a couple hours to get there.
Oooo, I’ll bet those were exciting.
I’ve never been to one but would love to be able to! I’ve never seen anything like that advertised anywhere near where I live!
Keep watching, more and more of them are popping up each year.
I’ve never been to a book signing; however, I would love to go to one sometime.
I hope you get to one too.
Wow! What an awesome giveaway from what must have been a wonderful time at the Barbara Vey Reader Appreciation Luncheon.
It’s the most fun weekend ever. Always activities, Bingo, Jeopardy, MadLibs, and so much more.
PJ, I want to know did you take a week vacation when you got home. What fun you all had.
Nope, no vacation. Too revved up. Just started writing. 🙂
I have never attended an author signing. Seems I’m always a day late or not in the “know”.
Awww, hang in there, you’ll see one you can get to.
I’ve never had the chance to go to a book signing, but I would love to someday! Thanks for the giveaway!!
You bet. I hope you get the chance someday.
I have never been to a signing, but I would love to go to meet all the amazing authors!
You’ll have such a great time.
Yes, I have been to Lori Foster’s event five times, plus one book signing alone.
Awesome. That is a great event.
I have never been to a book signing.
Thanks Judi.
Only once and it was just Hawaiian authors but it was a lot of fun 🙂
Hawaiian authors sounds like in Hawaii? I’d go there in a heartbeat.
I have never been to one.
Thank you.
I haven’t had the pleasure to go to a book signing. I would love to go.
I hope you get to one.
I have been lucky to attend 2 book signings..my first one was for an author and it happened to be her first signing..lol then I was able to attend the big one in Madison Wi. with over 40 great authors..best day …since I am disabled with arthritis, I dont have much other things in life so signed books are my treasures..
That’s wonderful that you were able to attend a couple of signings.
I have been to 4 book signings, I hope to attend more in the future. Thank you for the giveaway chance!
You’re welcome. Glad you love signings.
No never been. I wish
You just never know when you’ll get to one.
No .. I have never been..sorry .
Don’t be sorry. The opportunity will come along when you need it.
Yes, I’ve attended many book signings and love ’em! The ones that are at libraries or other smaller venues are better — and I think they don’t overwhelm authors as much — but I’m always thrilled to meet all the authors. I can’t remember all but maybe 15 signings or so?
Wow, that’s great. The smaller ones are nice and we have more opportunity to chat with readers at those.
I have never been to a book signing. It seems that when an author I like is having one it is nowhere near where I live. Maybe one day.
Yep, they are cropping up all over now.
I haven’t had the pleasure of attending a book signing, but would like to if an author I like came to my area.
Hope you get the chance.
I have not been able to attend a book signing but would love to if anyone’s in the San Antonio, Texas area!
I’ll bet there will be one in that area one of these days.
I’ve never attended any book signings.
Thanks for participating.
I went to my first book signing this past April. I live near Seattle where the Emerald City Author Event is held annually. Penny Reid was the main author I wanted to see, but there were many, many more that I enjoyed seeing, as well.
That’s how it works. You go for one or two and meet many more. Your TBR list grows and so does your friends list.
I live in “the middle of” nowhere Mississippi. No one signs books here. LOL
You just never know.
I went to my very first book signing last month. Sydney Author Event, I had so much fun meeting some of my fav authors as well as new to me authors. And chatting with other readers that love the same books I do. I can’t wait for the next book signing in Feb!
That’s one of the fun things, you’re there with other people who love books and stories. So much in common and you get great recommendations from other readers too.
I haven’t been to a book signing before but have always wanted to. The closest ones I’ve seen are at least four hours away, and I can’t drive that far.
Make it a great weekend with your hubby or a girlfriends weekend and go as a group, you’ll never be sorry you did.
Of course I do! I attend anytime I can, and I have a bunch of signed books I adore 😀
Thank you!!
You’re welcome and thank you for attending signings.
I’ve never had the chance to attend a book signing.
Thanks Traci.
Going to Nashville in October this year. Cant wait. Will be my first one.
Nashville would be fun!
I haven’t been to any book signings yet.
Thanks for participating.
Unfortunately none
Aww, you never know when the opportunity will arise.
I’ve never attended a book signing.
Thanks for responding Stacey.
I was at 1 book signing.
Awesome.
I haven’t ever been to a book signing.
Thanks for posting Christy.
I have been to a few signings and have one coming up next weekend that I am excited for. Love going and meeting new authors and readers.
How fun, Cindy. Where are you going?
I love book signings.
Fabulous.
I’ve actually never gone to one as we never get authors to come to our town. I’d love to go to them but a trip is never in the budget.
I know what you mean about watching the budget. Signings are cropping up all over and you just never know when one will come to your town.
I have never attended a signing..
Thanks for responding Misty.
I’ve never had the pleasure but I have it on my bucket list!
That’s a great bucket list item.
I never have. This is a small town and I doubt that there ever will be one here.
You never know when one will be close by.
I enjoy author signings but have only been able to go to a few. I went to Kim Harrison’s for the last book in the Hollows series, Ever After and RL Stine’s Red Rain.
Ooo, bet those were fun.
I have never been to a signing but would love to someday.
I hope you get to one Sandie, they’re fun.
No, I’ve never been to a book signing. There have been a few book signings near where I live, but I don’t find out about them in time to be able to go.
Bummer.
I have only been to 1 and it was so much fun! I really hope I can go to another this year but as big as Texas is they don’t really hold many here ?
Hmm, I know of a few authors who go to signings in Texas. I’ll have to see what I can find.
I have not attended any. They are seldom near me.
They are cropping up all over, you just never know when one will come close.
We wandered into a bookstore that an author was setting up for a book signing that night. We were passing through when moving
Oh, that’s cool.
Never been to one
Thank you for responding.
I would LOVE to go to a book signing, but I’ve never been able to, sadly.
You never know when the opportunity will arise.
I have never been to a book signing. I would love to attend one and meet my favorite authors. Thanks for the chance to enter your giveaway.
You’re welcome and I hope you get to a signing soon.
I have never been to a book signing for a number of reasons. There aren’t any near me, and I’m disabled, so would have a difficult time getting around.
You never know when one will come your way, they seem to be cropping up all over. I understand the difficulty getting around though.
I’ve only been to one but it was a smaller one so I actually got to talk one on one to all of the authors and loved it! I would love to experience one of the bigger ones but then I think I would hate waiting in lines and not getting to chat seriously with the authors lol
The smaller ones are very nice.
I have never been to one but I’m hoping that will change in the immediate future! Thank you for the giveaway!!
You’re welcome Susan, and I hope you find a signing to attend soon.
I do like going when they are close to home – I have been to 3 so far.
That’s great Cassie.
I have only been to a couple of book signings. Hopefully will be able to get to more in the future now that my kids are grown, but don’t get too many that are close to home.
They are cropping up all over these days, one will come close to you someday.
I’ve never been? but I’d love to go to one!
Good luck at getting to one, they are fun.
I would love to go to abook signing and would LOVE to go to LV next year!
Now, that would be fun all over the place. Good luck and let us know if you go.
I never have. I don’t even know if there have been any near me.
You just never know when one will come close.
I do try too. I have been to currently 2.
Good for you Amy.
I have not gone to a book signing in about 30 years. I would love to go to a book convention though.
Oh, yeah, those are fun and informative.
I have never been to one. Hopefully that will change one of these days. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome giveaway.
You’re welcome and good luck getting to a signing.
I have gone to too many to count! Anne Rice, Eliz Gilbert, Graham Kerr. The people! Probably 25+ in my lifetime
Wow Andrea, that’s wonderful and you’ve met some of the greats.
I worked at Oblong Books in Middleton NY. THAT was the only time I was “starstruck”. There I waited on a lot of authors and “stars” like Joel Seigal, Bradley Witford andMichael J Fox who lived just across the state line in CT. I’d learned from meeting Vivica Lindfors and Peter Falk years ago @college that famous people like to be ignored, and they would come back if they were.
However, the day Meryl Streep came in……I’ve never been so starstruck. Her kids were young teenagers and it was a rainy day. I tried to be nonchalant…..but I have a well worn Yale readers’theater tape of her first performance and have just loved her….and told her when I got my voice back.
I learned many years ago, with fan letters to authors and music celebrities, that people are OK if you respectfully approach them. Some have been wonderful(Anne Rice) others..not so much (Graham Kerr was the reason I went to cooking school. What I met was a third generation alcoholic who was very judgemental). Respect them, even if they don’t return it
Awesome giveaway!!! Would love to go!!!
Good luck getting to one.
Thank you!!
No…I have never attended a book signing ???
Thank you for commenting Carol.
I have never been. I was planning on going to one in October, but then I was hospitalized and now on oxygen 24/7. I’m still hoping to go to one eventually.
So sorry to hear about your health issues but wish you much health and happiness.
Thank you!
I’ve gone to three book signings so far and loved them all!! My bank account….not so much 🙂
I know what you mean.
I’ve never been to one. I enjoy reading and would love to attend a book signing.
You’ll get there.
I haven’t attended any signings yet.. 🙁
But hopefully next year or 2018, I will be.. 🙂
Yep, they are all over these days. You’ll love it.
I’m looking forward to attending my first signing ever!
I only went to one and that was when I was in my 20’s, I just don’t find them around here.
@tisonlyme143
Glad you got to the one, but I’ll bet there will be more near you in the future.
I hope so, I really enjoyed it and talking face to face with the writer was an amazing experience for me..
I have been to one that was held here in my home town of Roanoke Va and found its been going on for like 3 yrs. plan to go back next April and wanted to go to Nashville next month but since I e been out of work since June for not being able to talk I don’t think I’m going toget to go.
Oh, so sorry about your health, but you’ll have fun in Nashville. Take the time you need to heal.
Unfortunately I’ve never gone to any book signings but I really want to!
I went to one by accident! Went to a Barnes and Nobles and there was an author there signing his new book. I bought the book for my husband and had it signed!
That’s a great gift and a great accident.
I would love to go to book signings but the area I live in does not have any.
Sorry to hear that, but they’re cropping up all over these days. You just never know!
I hope to attend a conference sometime. Working fulltime doesn’t make things like this easy. But keep the blog going. Thanks.
I hope you get to one someday. I’ll be keeping the blog going and thank you for being a member of Romance on Wheels.
I have always wanted to go but haven’t been to one yet.
Have faith, there will come a day.
I have only went to one book signing. I am going to another one in October and I can’t wait!!
Have fun and come back here and tell us about it please.
I’d like to but with a 5 year old and working nights my time is too limited to travel, so not yet…
I completely understand that, I have four children, been there, done that. Your day will come.
I have always wanted too but unfortunately there haven’t been any close enough to where I live that is affordable. I’m hoping some day though, it is actually a dream of mine to meet some of my favorite authors.
They are certainly cropping up all over Sue and so just never know.
Sadly, most of the ones I wanted to go to were always when I worked (at the time I worked evenings and overnights), so the one time I was able to waited for 4 hrs just to have the author leave.
Well, that’s rather rude of an author to leave when people are standing in line. Sorry that happened.
It was a bummer and it’s kinda turned me off trying to go to any others, not that they happen often!
Would love to but usually in the city ans when I work
When the time is right, it will happen for you.
Would love to, but there never close to where I live. Would love to meet some of the Authors I read for years.
That’s fun. I’ve fan girled in the past, it’s exciting and a bit embarrassing.
would love to but I don’t drive but do know several authors personally
Then, you have the best inside access of all!!!!
I have never been to a book event or signing
Thank you for commenting.
I do if they are near where I live.
That’s great.
I have been to one book signing and I hope to go to many more.
I hope you get to many more as well.
I’ve only been to one and it was for a family member.
That’s cool.
Unfortunately I haven’t been to any book signings because I don’t live near the major cities, but I would love to go to one!
You never know when one will come your way.
I have been to one, if I ever see one locally I would go!
Sign up at your local library and book stores for their mailing lists, then you’ll know when one is coming close.
I’ve only been to a couple, but they have both been a blast! I love signings and getting to meet authors!
That’s cool. Which ones did you go to?
I have not been to any, but I am going to one in Nashville in October and then Birmingham in November.
Oh, you are going to have so much fun. Come back and tell us about it.
I sure will. I am excited to go. Several of my favorite authors are going to be there.
That’s fantastic.
I have been to a couple of book signings years ago. There aren’t any bookstores around here that have book signings. I would go if they were located in my area.
Awesome. Get on the list at your local library to be notified of stuff like that.
haven’t been to one yet though id like to
I hope you get to one Tonia.
No I haven’t been to any book siginngs.
Thank you for commenting.
No I don’t.
Thank you for posting.
I have been to one. I would like to go to more though.
That’s great. Which one were you at?
Small bookstore in Fernandina Beach FL. Was fun! Going again in a month!
Never been to one. Maybe someday.
Yep, you just never know.
I have not attended.
Thank you for commenting.
I don’t. I feel kind of bashful about talking to authors in person, plus there aren’t many of them in my neck of the woods.
Aww, you shouldn’t be bashful, we love talking to readers.
I’ve only been to one, in South Dakota. Living in North Dakota, we don’t see too many authors here. 🙁 And unfortunately, I can’t afford to travel to see them. But I tend to be a bit too introverted, and shy, so I don’t really chat with them much even if I were to see them! lol But it’s still fun to get them to sign the books.
Asking an author to sign a book is a great ice breaker.
I have never been to a signing. I am not a people person.
There are days, I’d say the same thing!!!! Not many though. 😉
I have never been to a book signing.
Thank you for commenting.
I live in a small town in Northern CA and there isn’t much chance of me attending any nearby. I did attend a class once where at the end we got to meet the authors, buy their books and get them signed!!
Well, that’s pretty cool.
I live in Louisville, Kentucky and I love going to book signings. I have been to 5 last year and have tickets to go to 4 this year!! I love all these authors and I LOVE my signed books❤️❤️
That’s wonderful Amy. I have family just south of Louisville. We were just there last month.
I live in Massachusetts, I’ve been to 4 book signings, I absolutely love attending them.
All my signed books have a beekcase just for them.
Thank you for this wonderful giveaway
You’re welcome Deborah. I love that you have a special bookcase for your signed books. That’s awesome.
I live about an hour north of New York City and I went to my first signing this past April and I had a blast. Even my hubby enjoyed going because he got to meet BT Urruela. The authors and models were so nice. I am going to another one in a few months and plan on going to more in 2017.
That’s great that your hubby enjoyed it too and I’d love to meet BT.
Sorry, I did not attend.
Thank you for commenting Kate.
Love them have been to RT once, Lori fosters get together several times, dragoncon a few times and many small ones. At going to coastal magic in February
Oh, wow, that’s awesome. Coastal Magic should be a blast.
I’ve been to a couple of book signings, they are so much fun. Love meeting the authors!
I agree, they are very energizing for us authors too.
I Wish I never get to go anywhere.
Sorry Stacey, you just never know when you’ll get to one.
We just started going last year. So far we’ve been to 5.
Wow, that’s fabulous.
I have never been to one. Of course, I live in the middle of nowhere, LOL.
Ah, yes, it’s hard to have a signing in the middle of nowhere, but you never know when a local library will have a small signing.
I’ve never been lucky enough to attend one. I’d love to but never had the time and opportunity.
I hope it happens for you Glenda, they are fun.
One day . . . .
I do go when I can. However, the last signing I went to was NYComic Con several years ago. Surprisingly, there aren’t a ton of authors that come to where I live now, which is no longer NYC
Oh, at least you’ve gotten to a few. Someday, I want to go to ComicCon in San Diego.
I’ve never been to one.
Thank you for posting.
I’ve been to one or two.
Awesome.
I have only been to one. Most of the book signing are out of the L.A.
Yeah, they are all over these days.
I haven’t gone to any book signings 🙁 I would love to though. Some day, some day 🙂
Yes, you just never know.
I have never attended a book signing, but would love too. Never had one in my area that I am aware of.
You just never know when one will pop up.
I have as part of the writers festival that takes place here but otherwise they usually don’t work for my schedule/location – or I only find out really last minute and can’t change plans 🙁
Yeah, sometimes the signings aren’t great at promotion and getting the word out, which helps readers plan!!!!
seems so weird – the author goes to all the effort (travel too) – the store goes through all the store level promotion setting up tables extra staffing etc but they post about it 24 hours beforehand!
I agree with you. Our library here does a great job of getting the word out on signings and events, but sadly, not all do.
I never hear of any in my area. The closest is in Washington D.C. & not easy for me to get to. I wish a book show would come to Maryland!
You should ask your local library to pull something together.
I usually don’t know of any near me. However, Toledo is about 2.5 to 3 hours away so I may go to that one next month.
That should be a good one.
I’ve only been to one in Vegas, but I’m hoping to attend more in the coming year.
I’ll bet Vegas was fun.
It was great and I got to meet Stuart Reardon!
Oh, that’s fabulous. Lucky lady.
I have never been to one. They dont seem to come our way ?
You just never know Kelly.
I’m not allowed to travel anymore so I guess I will virtually enjoy the travels of others on the net.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with that.
Love book signings/author events. I usually go to a few every year.
That’s great Jana.
My Bff and i attend about 4 a year. JR Ward is always on the list. We will be going to 2 Indie signings in Oct…Toledo’s Glass City book signing and Columbus’s Arch City book signing.
Gosh, that’s awesome and what a great girl’s weekend.
I attend 1000s of book signings! Not exaggerating at all. I’ve met some really great authors. The only problem is room for all my amazing signed books. Lol. I wouldn’t have it any other way though.
That’s awesome. Space does come at a premium and it’s hard to let go of any signed books!
My first book signing was Love N Vegas 2016 & I LOVED it!! So much fun and excitement!! I definitely will be attending more!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve heard others who attended Love N Vegas and had a great time. I’d like to get there one of these days.
You should totally attempt to come for 2017. It’s in October.. You won’t be disappointed!! ☺️
Would love to attend a signing .I follow a lot of authors but none have been close enough. If the lines were long I couldn’t wait cause in 2010 I had a car accident and. Hurt my back so I can’t stand long
Sorry to hear about your accident Teresa. I hope something comes your way and you’re able to attend.
I haven’t attended any book signings yet, but would like to.
I hope you get to as well.
Not a crowd gal, but will try to attend some this weekend at the Long Beach Comic Con.
OOO Comicons are so interesting.
Never been, but would if there ever were any near me!
I hope you get to one Elyza.
Have not attended any book signings. There is no book store in my town but if there was one in the city closest to me I would attend.
Sabrina, get your name on the list at your closest library to be informed of events in your area. That’s the best place to start.
I love signings. I went to five last year and am looking forward to attending one in Ireland next month.
I’ve been to a couple; the smaller events (one or two authors signing at a bookstore) were more comfortable, but the bigger/multi-author events had so much energy! A little claustrophobic at times, and more chaotic, but so much energy!
Unfortunately, I have never been to a book signing. That’s one of the disadvantages of living in a rural area.
I have occasionally attended book signings. I remember back in the early 70’s I went to a Bob Hope book signing where I stood in line for hours. Most recently I went to a Louise Penny signing. It’s nice to share a few words with a favorite author, as authors provide me with hours and of pleasure.
I have not had the privelage to attend a books signing loved to read all the time
I have never been to one. They usually don’t take place in my area and I can’t get away to make the drive if its a couple of hours away.
I have not been to any and hope someday that they have some near my home town . Sounds exciting ! But due to a severe illness am home bound . But I do love hearing all the exciting stories from the book signings!
I have only been to 1 book signing.
I have only been to 1 signing and the was Scripted Social Event in Des Moines, IA. I do have tickets to go to Kinky in KC on March 4, 2017, which I am sooooo excited for!!!
I have been to a few and I love them!!!
Going to my very first signing in October!!!!
I have been lucky enough to go to about 5 this past year !
wish I could go, but I live in Germany
I love book signings! I’ve been to two so far and am going to another one this weekend 🙂
I love goodies!
I have never been to one but it’s on my bucket list!!
Never been to one but would love to if one was ever located by me in like Tampa Florida.
I have never been to 1, but would love to.
I tried to go to a Nora Roberts one but I really couldn’t find a parking spot. Considering it was in Arkansas, no wonder so many people showed up.
Oh, gosh, I can only imagine the crowd that Nora draws.
I would love to go but due to my health i cannot make it. To them
Oh, so sorry Kim.
I’ve only been to a couple book signings, I have an anxiety disorder and the combination of cramped space and lots of strangers is not good.
So sorry Amber, I can imagine that those combinations would not work for you.
I do, but I rarely get a chance to go to any. I do love the chances I get to meet authors at Cons though (such as FetFlea and Arisia).
I’ve never heard of those Cons, I’ll have to check them out.
Arisia is a fantasy/sci-fi/anime/etc con here in Boston in January(ish). They have author discussions, round tables, etc and are in the vending rooms. NautiCon is a 21+ version of Arisia in New Hampshire. FetFlea is short for the Fetish Fair Flea Market, where I’ve also met some awesome authors as Cecelia Tan (Circle Press) is one of the people running it! *smiles*
I’ve never been to a book signing but want to some day.
I’ll bet you’re indeed get to one.
When I worked in a bookstore, I got to do the setup for signings, and I got a LOT of books signed – and a lot of swag. That’s been 20 years or so ago, and in that time I’ve had quite a few books signed, and MANY comics signed. Because NERD. Authors are awesome. 🙂
Aleveria, haven’t you heard? NERDS rule!
I’ve never had the chance to go to one. I’m hoping someday I will be able to. I heard people have an amazing time.
Yes, amazing is a great way to describe it. You’ll get there if you want to.
Thanks for a chance to win such great things!
You’re welcome Estella.
Great giveaway
Thank you Yvonne.
I’ve never been, but hope to some day!
I hope you get to one Michelle.
Never been to been to a signing in my life. Would love to attend one. I think it be cool.
They are cool and you’ll get to one if you are interested.
Oh yes I would be
I’ve never been to a book signing before.
Thanks Annabellainia.
I CAN NEVER GO AS I’M WHEEL CHAIR BOUND A SCROOGE HATES TO READ
Sorry to hear this Linda.
Haven’t been to any book signings yet but hope to go next year.
I hope you get to go.
I haven’t been to a book signing but I would sure love to!
Fabulous. I hope you get to one.
I haven’t been able to attend a book signing yet, but one is coming soon as few hours away I hope to attend.
Oh, I hope you get there and have fun.
I have been to private signings I will be attending my first in Oct 2017
Super fun. Let us know where you go and how you liked it.
It’s In Allentown Pennsylvania and I sure will!
I do like going to book signings, especially when the author gives a talk as well as signing books. I’ve probably been to a dozen signings. I would do more if I was more financially stable. Living on a fixed income doesn’t allow for too many extras.
Pat
Thanks Pat, sounds like you have it figured out. I know what you mean about the fixed income.
I haven’t been to a book signing yet, but there’s one coming near me in April…I’m very excited!
Oooo, have fun Cheryl.
I don’t have many opportunities for book signings in my area so I don’t attend many. I have considered traveling, a day trip, in the past but I haven’t been able to make schedules work yet.
It’ll happen for you Andrea. I hope you get to one.
I never been to a book signing. If one comes down to south Louisiana I will definitely attend.
There you go Denise, I’ll bet one comes to you soon.
I’ve never been to a book signing, mostly because I’m in New Zealand and have never seen any advertised near us. Have had a rugby jersey signed by a star player though and have won signed books
A signed jersey and signed books are great.
I love going to book signings. I love all types of books, so when the independent book store in Orange has a mystery writer I like I am there. I really can’t tell you how many I have gone to. Some day I want to go to a conference, so I can see a lot of my favorites at one time and get more signed books.
There you go. A conference is fun. I hope you get to one.
My first signing will be the Glass City on 10/8
I’m left brain 76 %
Have fun at Glass City, it should be a great time.
I went to my first signing this year in Chicago, it was so amazing. I had such a great time.
I’ll bet the Chicago signings have a ton of people there.
Hi, PJ! I love book signings. I worked at a bookstore for many years and even introduced the authors sometimes when we hosted them. The one I liked the best was Gloria Steinem–though that one was so crowded we had it outside.
Thanks for the great giveaway!
Wow, that’s a great way to meet many authors. Why was Gloria your favorite?
Well, I have always been inspired by her writing and her work. She was promoting Revolution from Within, her book on self-esteem which is something I always struggle with, and she was so great with everyone’s questions and I left all charged up and ready to change the world!
Awesome. I just love that feeling of leaving a talk or session from an inspirational speaker of being able to walk on water and take on the world.
I’ve never been to a book signing but they
